Growing Your Social Capital


I contacted John Greenstein who works for Phillips. They make alarm clocks and I decided to email him and ask them why they make alarm clocks if everyone just uses their phones. This is a valuable contact because I can learn how and why this company has chosen to not discontinue this product.

The second person that I contacted was Peter Lemkin who is a marketing associate for sports watches. He is someone that is in a similar market as me. I emailed him asking about their marketing strategies.

The third person is Strafano Dongo. He works for Duracell the battery company. This will be great asset to have for my product. Since my product t is electric, I would need a battery supplier. After my conversation, I realized that I would have to find a cheaper supplier than them.

This was a great experience as I learn to reach out to people and see what they have to say. I can learn a lot and there is no cost or risk involved.

    I found your post very interesting, you decided to contact bug name people in your industry. For my post I reached out to peers and people in my similar position. The people you reached to are quite impressive and it takes a lot of courage to reach to people of that magnitude.
