Your Venture's Unfair Advantage

1.      Entrepreneurship Experience
a.       This is valuable because most people fear new things but since this is not new to me, I have little to fear.
b.      It is rare because not everyone has started or done anything entrepreneur-like.
c.       This is not that hard to copy by other they just have to go for it
d.      Having a partner that has had this experience can substitute your own
2.      Lack of competitors
a.       This is valuable because coming into an untapped market can have a lot of benefits.
b.      This is rare. There are not that many opportunities out there where there is no product like yours.
c.       This is not something that can easily be copied
d.      This is not easily replaced
3.      Leadership experience
a.       This is valuable because it allows me to be able to lead a company. To have people depend on you is stressful so it is good that I have the experience
b.      This is not that rare. A lot of people have the experience
c.       It is not hard to copy but not everyone has the experience and is good at it.
d.      This is something irreplaceable.
4.      Financial experience.
a.       This is good because every company deals with money and I know how to budget.
b.      This is a lot rarer to have than leadership experience but still not that rare.
c.       This is easily copied
d.      This is irreplaceable.
5.      Vast network
a.       Valuable because you can’t do everything yourself so having people to rely on is very helpful
b.      This is not that rare but some contacts can be rarer than others
c.       Easily copied
d.      Not replaceable
6.      Advertising experience.
a.       Valuable because if people do not know your product exists they won’t buy it.
b.      Not that rare now that social media has made it so easy
c.       Very easy to copy
d.      Not replaceable
7.      Financial Capital
a.       Very valuable but not always easy to obtain
b.      It is not very rare every company needs it
c.       Easy to copy as long as you can convince investors
d.      Not replaceable
8.      Suppliers
a.       Having suppliers is very valuable
b.      Not rare
c.       Easy to copy
d.      Not replaceable
9.      Understanding customers needs
a.       You need to be able to modify your product
b.      It is rare
c.       Easy to copy
d.      Replaceable
10.  My drive
a.       You need a ceo with drive in order to succeed.
b.      It is rare to find someone like that
c.       Not easy to copy
d.      Not replaceable

  1. I like that you focused on your leadership and personal advantages. It is good to know your strengths and what you bring to the table. I also like that you listed your lack of competitors showing your knowledge on the market. However, you can elaborate on more of your analyses and explanations. This is a good foundation and starting point to potentially plan out future ventures.

    I really enjoyed the list you created with your advantages. I found it interesting how you focused more on your personal advantages and how those aspects are the most important when it comes to the success of your business. However, it is important to rely on the help of others and their expertise as well.
