I do not plan on running this business of the rest of my life.
It is just not something that I see my self doing. I also do not plan on
passing the business down to my children. I do not want to work my whole life on
something I do not even know if my children will want to continue. I would sell
the business and enjoy the money I receive from it. Hopefully enough where with
a few good investments I do not have to work an extra day of my life. I chose
this because I never received any inheritance from my parents, and I believe it
has made me more independent and stronger. I want my children to be the same
way. I do not think this choice influence my strategy in building the business.
Hi Gonzalo,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your point of view on your exit strategy. I find it interesting how most of my peers, including me, do not see themselves keeping our business for a long period of time. That is probably because most of us have the same mind set as young students trying to succeed. Overall, great work!
Hi Gonzalo,
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree with your stance in this post. I think that if you do not see yourself being happy doing this for the rest of your life, it is certainly not a pursuit that you should stick with for too long. Moreover, I think you make a good point regarding passing it off to your children, as I agree that it is important to allow them to chase success on their own instead of relying on yours.
